Potential buyers will be happy to know there are a wide selection of floor plans in the Brenhill project, a 35-storey glass tower with rental apartments and a Montessori school in the podium, with luxurious market condos on top.

It appears the Telus Garden residential tower at Richards and Robson streets turned on their LED lighting feature for the first time last night.

The lights appear to be extremely bright, a sort of 50 storey spotlight, reflecting off nearby hotels and condo buildings, including the Westin Hotel and L'Hermitage residential tower.

An astute reader spotted models at city hall of Westbank's "divine" tower proposal for the First Baptist Church on Burrard at Nelson street.

The upcoming 56 storey tower will be high-end, aimed at the luxury market with mostly two bedroom and larger units. Penthouses will make a splash with rooftop pools and hot tubs. Buyers can expect prices per square foot similar to Vancouver House, another luxury development, also by Westbank. 

InGastown condos

Gastown and Chinatown condos near completion

There are big, transformative changes afoot in Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood, the Downtown Eastside, and especially in the Chinatown and Gastown areas.

Both areas are home to several new condo and rental projects, with more in the pipeline. Buildings completing soon include Framework by Porte, 188 Keefer by Westbank, InGastown by PortLiving and Sequel 138.

There are also several rental projects including Bluesky Chinatown and an upcoming rental building by Wall Financial at the corner of East Hastings Street and Gore Avenue.
