Tower in Surrey switches from rental to strata, renamed One Central

Aoyuan International is preparing to launch the tallest fully residential tower in Surrey, called One Central.

The 44-storey tower has been in the works for several years, but was recently changed from a purpose-built rental apartment tower to market condominiums when Aoyuan came on board. This will be the Hong Kong-based developer’s biggest project in Metro Vancouver to date, although the company is also planning to develop an eight-acre site they own in Brentwood Town Centre in Burnaby, with up to five towers.

One Central will approximately 500 residential units, with 584 parking stalls over seven levels of underground parking. Unit sizes will range from studios (344 square feet), up to three-bedroom units (1,475 square feet).

Residents will have access to a rooftop amenity space with an outdoor lounge, BBQ and fire pit, as well as a fitness room and indoor amenity rooms. There will be commercial retail space on the ground level.

The project site is 10297 133A Street and the architect is Chris Dikeakos Architects. Interior design is by LIV Interiors.
