Grand opening of Whole Foods North Vancouver April 26

Whole Foods Market has confirmed their North Vancouver store will hold its grand opening April 26.

The new store is located at the recently-completed CentreView development by Onni, at 13th and Lonsdale in North Vancouver.

The grocer is currently hiring for several positions at the new store, including produce and bakery.

The store is the retailer’s second location on the North Shore, with their West Vancouver store at Park Royal being their first new-build store in Metro Vancouver. It opened back in 2004.

Since then, Whole Foods Market has expanded in Metro Vancouver through its purchase of Capers Community Markets, and also opened a store in Victoria at Uptown.

Whole Foods Market recently opened a store in North Burnaby in January 2016, and the upcoming North Vancouver location at CentreView is expected to be similar in layout and design.

The grocer’s main competition in North Vancouver will be the Loblaw CityMarket, located a few blocks away at 17th and Lonsdale.
