Open house held for Westbank’s Central Steam plant redevelopment

An open house for Westbank’s upcoming mixed-use development at 720 Beatty Street was held Monday at the Vancouver Public Library.

The upcoming development includes a 17-storey office tower with a distinctive S-curve, and an upgraded Central Steam plant. The architect is the world-renowned Bjarke Ingels Group, the same firm behind the iconic Vancouver House tower.

There will be approximately 515,000 sq ft. of new office space and 18,000 sq ft. of retail space. A separate sports and entertainment pavilion building is also part of the development, but will be built in a later phase.
