Two six-storey buildings slated for Garden Drive and East Broadway

Eight single-family homes on a block of Garden Drive at East Broadway will soon be demolished to make way for 109 strata condos in two six-storey buildings.

The land assembly is about five blocks from the Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain station, making redevelopment particularly attractive to developers.

The two buildings will have a mix of homes, ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. There will also be ground floor retail along the East Broadway frontage.

There will be 118 underground parking spaces and 250 “class A” bicycle parking stalls.

Residents will have access to a fitness centre, and indoor and outdoor amenity spaces. The project’s architect is Integra Architecture Inc. and the developer is Porte Homes.

A community open house will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive). The project will head to the Urban Design Panel on November 27, 2019.
