Glazed green brick to adorn Commercial Drive townhouses

Vancouver-based architects Marianne Amodio + Harley Grusko Architects Inc. have designed a stylish townhouse development for a single-family lot off Commercial Drive.

The single-family lot at 1660 East 5th Avenue was last sold in January 2020 for $2.5 million, and now there’s development application for an eight unit courtyard building.

There will be 2 two bedroom units and 6 three bedroom units. Part of the façade of the building will be covered in glazed green brick, a unique and eye-catching material for a residential development.

Parking will be at a minimum, with five spots provided.

The developer is South Street Development Group.
