Developer Wesgroup is planning two 222 secured market rental units at Oak Street and West 41st, on the former site of a Chevron service station.
The project will consist of two towers, eight and 16 storeys, atop a podium with commercial retail space at grade.
Fifty-two of the secured market rental units will be designated as below market units. 36 per cent of the units will be two-bedroom or larger.
An amenity space is planned for the rooftop including seating areas and an outdoor shuffleboard or bocce area — to be determined. There will also be an amenity area on the 7th floor with children’s play area and planter boxes for urban agriculture.

Green roofs on levels two and nine will include layered and mounted vegetation, areas of sand and river rock, and pockets for water collection with the hopes of attracting birds and pollinators. The 9th floor rooftop will include boxes for native bees.
There will be 212 underground parking stalls and 492 bicycle parking spaces. The proposal is being considered under Cambie Corridor Plan.
The development site, a former Chevron service station, is one of several that the developer acquired with the intension of redevelopment. Wesgroup has applied to build a six-storey, mixed-use building at Cambie and 16th, and also owns former Chevon stations at West 4th and MacDonald, and Dunbar and West 39th.
