Water Street by the Park is an upcoming, three-tower development in Kelowna, which will be home to the city’s tallest tower once complete.
Orchard Park Properties is leading the development, which is in the presale registration phase. Once complete, it will include 650 homes and 45,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The towers will be 42, 28 and 24 storeys.
The development site is located in the 1600-block of Water Street in downtown Kelowna, and overlooks Okanagan Lake, as well as Kelowna City Park and the William R. Bennett Bridge.
Units will include one, two and large, three-bedroom corner units — a rarity in the condo market in Kelowna.
Amenities will include resort-style indoor-outdoor amenities, including a year-round, heated pool overlooking the Marina towards Knox Mountain.
The developer hopes the project will help revitalize the Leon Avenue corridor in downtown Kelowna, and made several changes to the project in order to win approval from the city.
“Having travelled to Kelowna countless times over my life, it’s easy to see why so many people want to live here, and our goal is to help them realize that dream,” said Anthony Beyrouti, co-Founder of Orchard Park Properties, in a statement to urbanYVR.
“From the views, the lake and the mountains, to the lifestyle and all the available outdoor activities, Kelowna has tremendous appeal for students, retirees, down-sizers and all types of buyers. As committed as we are to building this project and these beautiful homes, we’re equally committed to being great corporate citizens that will work collaboratively to enhance Kelowna’s status as a great place to live and work.”
There will be 727 underground parking stalls and 566 bicycle parking stalls. Construction is expected to begin later this year.
The project is part of a wave of high-rise construction in downtown Kelowna, including:
