Hamilton by Mosaic coming to Burnaby Mountain and SFU

Hamilton by Mosaic is an upcoming, 12-storey concrete condo tower on Burnaby Mountain in SFU’s UniverCity community, designed by RWA Group.

The development is Mosaic’s third project on Burnaby Mountain, and the second to last concrete tower that will be built at UniverCity.

Geoff Duyker, senior vice-president of marketing at Mosaic Homes, says compared to other areas of Burnaby, the homes at Hamilton are a great value.

“If you look within Burnaby, it offers exceptional value at 20-40% less than Metrotown, Brentwood or Lougheed for a new concrete home. There is very little that will built after Hamilton, as there is a cap on the number of homes that can be built up here, and we are nearing the end of it.”

Like all condos constructed on Burnaby Mountain, the homes at Hamilton are leasehold, a 99-year lease from the university trust.

Duyker says they are targeting students and staff, with amenity spaces like a co-working office located within the building.

“The university is growing, the student population is growing, as well as staff, and they need a place to live, so we think the future is pretty favourable. It’s a very unique environment.”

Hamitlon by Mosaic is scheduled to complete in Spring 2024, with excavation already underway.
