900,000 square feet of residential, retail and office coming to Richmond

Plans for a large, mixed-use development on five acres across from Lansdowne Centre in Richmond are taking shape.

A website is live for the residential portion of the project, called Atmosphere, and registration is underway for condominiums ranging from one to four bedrooms.

The project includes a total of seven towers, with the tallest being 12-storeys.

There will be an office tower at the corner of No. 3 Road and a new east-west road which will be constructed on the south side of the site. The podium of the office tower will contain 65,000 sq ft. of technology incubator space.

Four condominium towers will ring the perimeter of the site, as well as two rental apartment buildings facing Alderbridge Way. There will also be an affordable rental apartment portion of the development.

60,000 sq ft. of retail space will wrap around the periphery of the site. The developer is South Street Development Group and the architect is GBL Architects.

Across No. 3 Road, there are major redevelopment plans for Lansdowne Centre, with up to 24 new towers proposed across the site over the next ten years.
