Anthem plans 43-storey tower at Willingdon and Maywood

Anthem Properties is planning a 43-storey residential tower at the corner of Willingdon and Maywood in Burnaby.

The development will also include a six-storey non-market rental apartment building, containing 92 units fronting onto Willingdon Avenue, in partnership with BC Housing and the New Vista Society.

All of the proposed rental units will be offered at affordable rates (the lesser of pre-development rents or 20 per cent below Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) average market rates for returning tenants, and 20 per cent below CMHC average market rates for new tenants).

The market component of the development includes 409 strata apartment units and 15, three-level strata townhouses.

The tower façade will consist of white painted concrete and black-framed windows, while the townhomes will be clad in white cement panel and charcoal brick.
