Condos, rental and non-market on St. Johns in Port Moody

Buffalo Group is behind plans for 210 new homes on St. Johns Street in Port Moody, near Buller Street.

The development will include a mix of market strata, market rental and below-market rental.

There are two buildings, Building A on St. Johns Street and Building B on St. George Street.

The proposal also includes the purchase and closure of St. Andrews Street which currently divides the two sites.

Building A:

  • six-storey mixed-use building
  • 90 units
    • 32 market rental
    • 21 below-market rental
    • 9,331 sq ft. for non-profit childcare organization, and an additional 1,400 sq ft. outdoor space

Building B:

  • six-storey residential building
  • 120 market strata units

Unit sizes will range from studios to three-bedrooms, and there will be 21 “ground-oriented” homes.

A total of 306 parking stalls are proposed. The architects are WA Architects Ltd.

The development appeared before Port Moody’s Community Planning Advisory Committee in early January 2020.
