Concord Pacific plans 65-storey signature tower at Metrotown

We are getting a fresh look at Concord Pacific’s plans for Metrotown, which include a 65-storey residential tower.

Phase one of the redevelopment of the former Sears department store and parking lot will see three new residential towers between 35 and 65 storeys, and new commercial space.

There will be two “anchor” retail spaces, as well as an 8,500 sq ft. restaurant space and two 2,000 sq ft. cafe spaces. Additional retail units are planned facing Kingsway.

A total of approximately 1,300 homes are planned for phase one. The development is targeting LEED Gold and was designed by IBI.

Phases two, three and four will see three more residential towers, and a new office tower, as well as additional retail spaces suitable for anchor tenants.
