Cressey Development Corp. is planning to redevelop 250 East 15th Street in North Vancouver with a new rental apartment project.
The site is currently occupied by two, aging four-storey rental buildings with a total of 101 rental units. The site is immediately adjacent to Lions Gate Hospital and three blocks east of Lonsdale Avenue.
The redevelopment includes three buildings (12, 12 and six-storeys) with 281 rental units and a new neighbourhood park at East 16th Street and St. Andrews Avenue. The developer’s rental subsidiary, Nacel Properties, is leading the project.
The unit breakdown is as follows:
- 32 studios
- 147 one-bedroom
- 79 two-bedroom
- 19 three-bedroom
- four townhouses
The architects, Bingham + Hill Architects, describe the amenity areas:
Dynamic amenity spaces, including bridges and large indoor rooftop multi-function space with accompanying outdoor terrace are available for residents to use. These areas are emphasized in the architectural massing and materiality, heavily contributing to the overall project aesthetic. Public passageways at ground level and highly glazed areas of amenity activity create an activated streetscape for the enjoyment of residents and the public alike.
There will be 261 underground parking stalls. A public hearing date for the redevelopment is forthcoming.
