Martial arts studio hopes for K.O. with redevelopment plan

A small building housing The Li Rong Wushu and Qigong martial arts academy on Slocan Street will soon make way for a four-storey, mixed-use building with commercial space at grade and rental units on top.

Matthew Cheng Architect has designed the new building, which will add eight secured market rental units, and an approximately 1,000 square foot retail space plus mezzanine.

Residents will have access to an indoor amenity room and an adjacent outdoor rooftop deck.

The application is being considered under the Secured Market (Rental 100) Housing Policy.
