Daycare, 124 rental units slated at Main and East 54th

Two six-storey buildings containing 124 secured market rental units are planned at Main Street and East 54th, south of the Sunset Community Centre.

Matthew Cheng Architect Inc. designed the two buildings, which share a podium with 10 commercial retail units. The colour scheme consists of white, grey and black, using painted concrete, brick and PVC tongue and groove panels.

The building will also include a daycare with space for 37 children, located on the second floor. Underground will be 102 vehicle parking spaces, as well as 222 bicycle parking spaces.

The application is being considered under the Affordable Housing Choices Interim Rezoning Policy.
