Construction on the second phase of McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport is set to begin, with the expansion set to open in Spring 2019.
Phase two of the outlet mall, located next to the Vancouver International Airport, will add 35 new stores to the centre, and will create up to 400 jobs in construction and retail.
The new phase will adjoin the existing centre, and continue the European-inspired design, with piazzas and a variety of façades.
The existing 240,000 sq ft. centre will stay open during construction.
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport has won several awards since it opened in 2015, including the Best New Development at the ICSC Canadian Shopping Centre Awards, NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Award of Excellence for Retail Development and the prestigious MAPIC Best Outlet Center.
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport is a joint venture between European-based McArthurGlen Group and the Vancouver Airport Authority.
