New home for No. 1 Collision Centre in the False Creek Flats

There’s been a flurry of new, light industrial buildings proposed for the False Creek Flats recently, as demand for space close to downtown Vancouver heats up.

One of the latest proposals is a four-storey, mixed-use building at 1055 Vernon Drive, one block west of Clark, near Venables.

The site was formerly home to Able Auctions, which will be demolished to make way for the new building.

The developer, PC Urban, has already secured a purchaser for the ground floor: No. 1 Collision Centre.

The rest of the building will be marketed to light industrial users.

The façade of the building will feature extensive glazing and insulated metal panels. Two levels of underground parking will be provided.

Architects are Christopher Bozyk Architects.

The design is preliminary and subject to feedback from the development permit board.
