Office tower, industrial complex proposed next to SkyTrain Marine Drive Station

A significant mixed-use office, retail, and industrial complex is proposed to replace the Kia car dealership site immediately east of Marine Gateway and SkyTrain Marine Drive Station in South Vancouver.

Mercury Properties, a division of Hungerford Properties, has received approval from Vancouver City Council to build a mixed-use complex next to Marine Gateway. The site, measuring 3.12 acres, is currently occupied by a KIA dealership and vehicle repair shop.

The proposed development will feature two buildings, one 19-storeys and the other 11-storeys tall, with office space at the top and light-industrial space below, all atop a three-storey podium with commercial retail space. The commercial podium will also house a 37-space childcare facility, which will be handed over to the City as an in-kind Community Amenity Contribution.

The future complex will be located within the Cambie neighbourhood of the Marpole Community Plan and is expected to bring 1,500 new jobs during construction and employ 3,400 people post-construction.
