The first tower of BlueSky Properties’ Parkway development in Surrey, known as Aspect, has launched, with 362 homes over 51 storeys.
The tower is one of four that will make up Parkway in downtown Surrey — which will consist of more than 2,000 units once complete. Along with condominiums, there will also be rental apartments, commercial space and office space. The development was designed by Perkins&Will.
Surrey is growing at nearly twice the rate of Vancouver, new data from Statistics Canada confirms. The Fraser Valley city grew 9.74 per cent between 2016-2021, reaching a total of 568,332 residents. That compares to a growth rate of 4.87 per cent for Vancouver, with a total of 662,248 residents. Surrey is catching up to Vancouver — the namesake of Metro Vancouver.
“Downtown Surrey is vibrant and growing, and it’s where people want to live, work and play. Parkway adds another layer of excitement,” said Dale Bosa, CEO of BlueSky Properties. “I’m incredibly proud of this project. The efficiency of design for each home, coupled with the richness of amenity space makes Parkway a first of its kind.”
A unique feature of the development is its amenity pavilion, a 16,000 square foot, two-storey standalone building with a gym, plunge pool, steam, sauna, yoga room, sports court, workshop and co-working space, plus outdoor fitness and lounge areas. The standalone commercial building will measure 20,000 square feet and include space for a restaurant and café, as well as a dog park and public art program.
The Parkway development by BlueSky Properties covers four city blocks and is located at 104 Avenue and City Parkway, approximately 200 metres from Surrey Central Skytrain Station. It’s being developed in three-phases, with sales for Parkway 1 – Aspect beginning February 11 and Parkway 2 in the fall of 2022. BlueSky Properties is a division of well-known developer Bosa Properties.
