SOLO District developer seeks additional height for fourth tower

Office podium increased from four floors to 13 floors

The developer of SOLO District in Burnaby is hoping to add nine additional floors of office space in the phase four tower to meet demand in the Brentwood area.

Appia Development and Chris Dikeakos Architects Inc. are asking the City of Burnaby for permission to increase the office podium from four storeys to 13 storeys, which will increase the tower height from 48 storeys to 52 storeys.

The number of condominiums will stay the same at 319 units, and the tower will still be shorter than the tallest building in the SOLO District development, Altus (phase two).
