Just in time for Pride Week in Vancouver, Tangible has debuted its interactive, musical art installation outside the Bentall Centre.
Entitled Step With Me, the public art piece plays musical tones out of four colourful “speakers” when the “keys” on the staircase are stepped on.
The public art piece is co-sponsored by Bentall Centre and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association, in celebration of the LGBTQIA2S+ community in Vancouver.

The public art installation is located at the Burrard Benches at Bentall Centre, 555 Burrard Street, just north of Dunsmuir.
Music, dance, and play have brought us together since the beginning of time. While we can talk, promote and elevate acceptance and inclusion, there are not that many places where we can exercise it. There is nothing like gathering in a setting where we can lose ourselves in the moment, where we can make music, dance, and be silly. At the end of the day, it does not matter who we are or what our preferences are. When it is time to have fun and express ourselves, we are celebrating our diverse humanity. Step With Me is our invitation to have fun, be foolish, and celebrate. This is our way of challenging you to be in the moment, no matter how we present ourselves, to accept ourselves and others, and to be proud of who we are.

This is the second public art installation by Tangible at Bentall Centre. The Vancouver-based art and design studio recently unveiled a collection of nine-foot tall LED parasols on the Dunsmuir Street plaza, a public art installation commissioned by Bentall Centre owners Hudson Pacific Properties and Blackstone.
