The City of Vancouver held an open house Wednesday night to unveil their preferred concept for a new park in Yaletown, close to the business district — the first new park downtown in almost a decade.
The lot is across from the Dolce and Vita developments on the corner of Smithe and Richards, and has been in the works for several years. The site is currently a parking lot, but part of it was previously occupied by the restaurant Lucy Mae Brown, which later became a temporary homeless shelter.
